CAMDEN STEWART HAM It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Camden Stewart Ham, 52, of Winnipeg on November 1, 2014 at the Grace Hospital. Left to mourn is wife of 27 years Tammy, daughters Jennifer (Mike Jongstra) and Nicole, and well as grandchildren Blake and Emily. He was predeceased by his father Tom and also mourned by his mother Margretta, sister Patricia (Rob), brother James, father-in-law Frank, mother-in-law Betty, sister-in-law Nancy (Todd), and an extended network of family members and friends. Cam was born September 2, 1962 at the St. Boniface Hospital and grew up in Winnipeg's West End where he attended Wellington, General Wolfe Junior High and Tec Voc High School. He worked in the machinery and tool sales industry over the past 25 years. Not one to wear his heart on his sleeve, there can be no doubt he was a caring and compassionate man. That was always evident in the manner in which he went above and beyond to serve his clients, or lend a helping hand to family and friends. There was never a problem he was not prepared to help overcome. Above all, there was always something extra special in the way he cared for, interacted with and entertained his grandchildren as well as his niece Sharynne and nephews Ethan and Patrick. That is when his star shone brightest. He had a love of being outdoors, working with tools and creating new things and yes - grudgingly at times - even our Bombers and Jets. Through it all, and from behind what could seem like a gruff exterior, he was someone that always put the needs of others before his own. He always wanted the best for Winnipeg. And if there is something we can take away from knowing Cam our sincere hope is that we all exhibit the care and compassion he did. We will miss him deeply. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life is planned for Sunday, November 9 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Kirkfield Westwood Community Centre, 165 Sansome Ave. Special thanks to the doctors and staff at Grace Hospital and Health Sciences Centre, as well as the dedicated members of the Winnipeg Fire - Paramedic Service.
