ARTHUR JOHN (JACK) BOARDMAN November 20, 1930 - October 16, 2014 Your Daughters Will Never Forget You Dad We always said when growing up That we were "daddy's girls". Dad you were so strong, our Palladin, our mentor in this world. You held our bikes steady, telling us to be brave when teaching us how to ride, Never really letting go, but encouraging us as you slowly stepped aside. You were always the first to come to our aid, And always the last to leave, Teaching us honour and sacrifice mattered the most, and of a God in whom to believe. You gave us a blueprint to navigate life in an honourable, spiritual way, Laying a rock foundation on which we could stand, tho close to us both you would stay. As we grew up you empowered us both, proudly walking each of us down the aisle, but when it was time "to give us away" Your voice shook - you bore a bittersweet smile. You were there for us both in a distinct special way, that made each of us feel unique. Your stories, your limericks and your advice, were something each of us would continually seek. Now Daddy you who used to hold us with arms and hands so strong, have gone where we can't follow you yet, but our love for you goes on. We will always keep your memory alive, and honour what you believed, and on your birthday today we are grateful for God's gift to "us"... The kind of father that we had received.
