Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDELENA MARIE ALBERTINE COMMODORE It is with heavy hearts and deep regret that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved matriarch and the heart of our family, Delena Commodore. Born in Big River, SK on May 13, 1919 she continued her journey into heaven in the early morning hours of Monday, November 17, 2014 at the age of 95 years. Delena is survived and forever cherished by her sons William, Wilfred (Sharon), and Ken, daughters Carol and Martha, grandchildren, great-granchildren and great-great-grandchildren whom all held a place in her heart. She was predeceased by husband William Alfred and son Edward. Delena lived her life as a very proud woman who faced any obstacle in life with her head held high, a strong will and a kick bum attitude and always persevered with a smile. She loved her family fiercely heart and soul. No matter which of us it was she always knew what we needed, even when we didn't know ourselves. She gave all of herself to meet our needs with complete and unconditional love whether we were good or bad. She was always happiest being outdoors with loved ones working hard in her garden on the farm. She meant so much to each of us that it seems impossible to express and honour Delena and her life in just a paragraph. Delena has always been and will remain a blessing and an angel in our lives, hearts and even seen as a hero through the eyes of most. May she rest well and at peace in the arms of our lord. "We bet those wings are perfect." Her Journey has Just Begun Don't think of her as gone away Her journey has just begun, Life holds so many facets This earth is only one. Just think of her a resting From the sorrows and the tears In a place of warmth and comfort Where there are no days and years. Think how she must be wishing That we could know today How nothing but our sadness Can really pass away. And think of her as living In the hearts of those she touched For nothing loved is ever lost And she was loved so much. A private family service will be held. Aunty's strength, love and laughter will continue to live on in my memories forever. She had an impact on my values and gave me many examples to model in my life. My admiration for her grew over the years as she opened up about her life with us. Aunty was one amazing woman! WE are blessed to have been touched by her life. Soo sorry for your loss! - Posted by: Debbie & Dieter Discher (Neice) on: Nov 23, 2014
