Condolences & Memories (8 entries)

  • I remember her gentle ways, never seemed to be in a hurry. She had a beautiful smile and a gentle demeanour and I remember seeing her a month ago on busy Portage Ave by the Bus stop. I had not seen her in years and she reminded me who she was and I said I remember you. We were together at IWAM. We hugged and went on our way. We both said we were fine. Little did I know it was going to be the last time I see her alive. I am glad we touched each other and smiled. It was brief but a good visit. May her beautiful soul rest in eternal peace. - Posted by: Beatrice Watson (A friend, colleague and my African sister) on: Nov 28, 2014

  • I have not seen Thacienne for quite a number of years but she will always hold a special place in my heart. We met when our boys were in grade school together. We had her family over for Canadian Thanksgiving one year and we were very touched by her story. And amazed at her positive attitude towards life. She did not feel sorry for herself but looked forward to what God had planned for her. I was always amazed at her perseverance in going to night school to get her degree! She was a courageous woman in all aspects of her life. Our hearts and our prayers go to her family as they grieve this loss. - Posted by: Valerie Kauenhofen (Friend) on: Nov 25, 2014
