HAROLD GILLIES It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our dear father and friend, Harold Boyd Gillies on Wednesday, November 26, 2014. He was predeceased by the love of his life Margaret, January 13, 2010. He leaves to feel this deep loss his six children: Penny (Robin), Karen (Bob), Mark (Santa), Michele (Mike), Russell (Josee), and Susan (Marlow); his sister Ruby (Larry), and his brother Lloyd (Laurie) of Abbotsford, also 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He also viewed his special friends Gary and Val Braun as family. Dad looked forward to being resurrected soon to life on a Paradise earth by his Creator, Jehovah (Acts 24:15) whom he lovingly worshipped to his last breath. A memorial service will be held at the Kingdom Hall Centre of Jehovah's Witnesses on Monday, December 1, 2014 at 227 Lakewood Blvd. at 7:00 p.m. All who knew and loved him and his family are warmly invited!

Our condolences to the Gillies family. Harold and Margaret provided a sterling example of faithfulness to everyone who knew them. We had the priviledge of being in the same congregation and bookstudy many years ago. Our thoughts and prayers are with the children and relatives of Harold, having known the family for years, our deepest sympathy is extended to you. When death touches those we love, we truly understand the truthfulness, that death is our enemy. How we look forward to the time when death will be no more. The faith and example set by your parents, showed how they valued the truth. Then to see the children grow up, set spiritual goals, overcome challenges and follow the example of your parents. Dear Gillies Family, Our hearts are with you all on the loss of your Dad. The Gould family has many happy memories of growing up on Hoddinott Road with the Gillies family as our next door neighbors. Michelle and I enjoyed spending time together delivering newspapers, picking gooseberries, visiting the "old farm", playing dolls in the back field and picnicing behind the mailboxes beside the Kingdom Hall. It seemed so far away at the time! It must be a comfort to know that your Mom and Dad are now reunited. Bless you all. Our thoughts are with you.
