Condolences & Memories (11 entries)

  • I had the pleasure of meeting Mrs. Toyne (momma) back in 2006-2007. I am truly saddened to hear of her passing. She was the sweetest lady. I had spent a lot of time with Momma T, and really got to know her well. Her funny stories, her laugh, and most of all her kindness! Not a day goes by that I don't think of her! May you Rest In Peace Momma! My condolences to the family. - Posted by: Janelle Brown (Friend) on: Jan 25, 2015

  • Our thoughts and prayers are with the family at this time. I have fond memories of helping Mildred make sandwiches for Carol's shower. I remember that Mildred decorated our wedding cake. She was very well loved and respected by her family. Truly a great lady!!! Arlene and Jaysen - Posted by: Arlene Mahadoo (sister-in-law of Carol McLeod) on: Dec 22, 2014

  • Wonderful family. Trevor, Joyce, Carol and Barb, so sad to hear of your mom's passing. Happy at the same time that she had a good and long life. Remember so well all the fun times at 16 Tod Drive. Everyone was welcome and it most always was a full house with so much fun and laughter. Didn't matter if you were not family, whatever the Toyne's were up to you were included. So much fun with all your family at ceramics, Christmas shopping together, and all the other things we loved being part of. You and your families are in our thoughts and prayers. Love to all of you. Brian and Denise. - Posted by: Brian and Denise Holloway (Friends) on: Dec 14, 2014

  • I will always cherish the times my whole family had spent with Momma T. the fun, laughs and craziness. I would pop in to see her during my work days to say hello and would always be offered butter tarts or some tasty treat and coffee. • Mrs. Toyne was always busy in her yard, sweeping the sidewalk or raking leaves under the one tree in the back. She always had time for friendly little chats! I'll always remember how full of life she was and her sweet little comments about things when upset. Our deepest sympathy to you Barb and your family. • I will always remember "Grandma" with a smile. Her "joie de vivre" was contagious, and passed down to her children, grandchildren, & great-grandchildren. She could make anyone smile who was lucky enough to be around her. She was one fine lady who will be missed by many. A great example of a life well lived. - Posted by: Kim Bourget (Jackson) (family friend of Mildred's grandkids) on: Dec 09, 2014

  • Sincere and heartfelt sympathy for the loss of your Mum, Grandma, Treat Gram. She was such an incredible lady. I will always remember the one time we made fancy sandwiches together for a retirement party. She was so spry and full of fun. Her egg salad and tuna fancies are certainly being doled in heaven for her own party! Her spirit will live on for all her family, stay strong in this difficult time. - Posted by: Claudette Nault (friend of Barb ) on: Dec 08, 2014

  • I will miss you Mrs. Toyne with all your funny little jokes and how I would laugh when you would so easily get mad at Barb usually for nothing. I will miss you dearly and think of you every time we use the beautiful barbeque you gave us for the lake. May you rest in peace. Lori Harel - Posted by: Lori Harel (Friend) on: Dec 08, 2014
