Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPRAKASH KAUR SAMRA (BEJI) It is with great sadness that we mourn the passing of Mrs. Prakash Kaur Samra (Beji). Beji passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 9, 2014, surrounded by her loving family. Beji had an incredible spirit and a smile that brought joy to all those she touched. Beji will be deeply missed by her husband Pritam Singh Samra, her children: Baljit, Surjit (Jaswant), Santokh (Paramjit), and Kuldip (Daljit); as well as her eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Beji was born in 1928 in Punjab, India, She was then married to Pritam on June 20, 1948. She had four children and dedicated her time to taking care of the family home and the children. She was known to be an incredible selfless and hard working woman; she made sure all of her children were always well taken care of and educated. In 1980 the family moved to Winnipeg, Manitoba, where she spent her time caring for her grandchildren. In addition to her family Beji was dedicated to her religion and spent countless hours volunteering at Sigh Saba Gurdwara in Winnipeg. She will be remembered for her loving-caring nature and being a wonderful mother figure and role model for her entire family. An Akhand path will be held at Singh Saba Gurdwara (4000 Surgeon Road) starting Friday, December 12 and ending Sunday, December 14 at 8:00 a.m. A celebration of her life will be held for Mrs. Samra at Thomson "In the Park" Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Boulevard on Sunday, December 14 at 2:00 p.m., after which, there will be prayers at Singh Saba Gurdwara.
