We are deeply saddened by the loss of our beloved brother Vic. Our thoughts and prayers were with Marj, Cameron, Kristen Lorne and Aidan. Vic was a strong and giving spirit who cared deeply about his family and found joy in his grandson Aidan. I am glad he was able to enjoy his later years with his grandchild. He took care of our parents in time of need and I remember him as my great protector. He displayed respect and interest with Beverley and her activities. Although his last year was one of suffering, confusion and loss I loved the moments together with Marg and Bill who managed to do some nifty translation to find meaning in his efforts to communicate. I thank them for being by Vic this past year. I will treasure our final walks through the Riverview grounds and take comfort in that he is now at peace and joined with our loved ones gone before. I wish you a new journey Vic. Love, Wally & Bev - Posted by: Walter Leckett & Beverley Belton-Leckett (Brother and Sister-in-Law) on: Dec 18, 2014

Dear Marje and Family: I was deeply saddened to read of Vic's passing. Although I didn't work directly with or for him, we were all a part of the accounting branch and shared many good social functions, baseball and volleyball, golf tournaments, curling and the lunch time hearts games. Vic was a man to look up to in many ways .( besides being the tallest guy in Finace dept.) He trained and mentored many junior clerks that went on to have good careers in the civic service. He and his good friend Bob Jones were the backbone of the general and utility accounting branches. A great guy all around. - Posted by: Ron Nowicki (former COW co-worker) on: Dec 18, 2014
