CHRISTINE CATHERINE MOONEY (nee JOHNSON) May 13, 1935- December 18, 2014 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Christine Catherine Mooney on December 18, 2014 at the age of 79 years. Chris was predeceased by her husband Jack, mother Catherine McQueen Johnson, father Oli Freeman Johnson, siblings Elaine Joyce Johnson and Eleanor Ann Tocher. Family members left to cherish her memory are Sigthrud 'Trudy' (Paul) Johnson, David Johnson, John (Lorraine) Johnson, Rhoda O'Neal, Kenneth (Grace) Johnson, Sharon (Dale) Cooper, Elizabeth (Brunel) Boiteau, Paul (Sharon) Johnson, Linda (Roy) Johnston and twenty-two nieces and nephews. Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Christine finished her education in Winnipeg and worked as a Para-Legal for a few years in Toronto and completed her Para- Legal career at Thompson Dorfman and Sweatman in Winnipeg. Chris retired in 2000 but was often called back to fill in for holidays. In 1961 Chris married Jack Mooney in Toronto and they moved to Winnipeg in 1988. Chris was very social and had many friends from work, church, extended family and people in her neighbourhood. Funeral service will be held on Monday, December 22, 2014 at the Calvary Temple in the Buntain Chapel 400 Hargrave Avenue at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Chris's name to CancerCare, Manitoba. I was further blessed the year she invited me to have Christmas dinner with her and Jack.
