Sorry to read Hal's passing. I'm in New Brunswick and decided to do a search and came across this. I worked with Hal back in 1968 and he was my mentor. I was fresh out of school and he took me under his wing. I remember driving in his dark blue Cuda and the laughs we had. I attended Hal and Maria's wedding. I returned home to New Brunswick in early 1969 but always remembered the great time I spent with Hal. May God bless. - Posted by: Dave McMurray (co-worker Western Sound) on: Apr 06, 2021

My sincere condolences to Hal's family. I knew Hal through his work with the Emergency Measures Organization. Above everything else what I remember is his dedication to the EMO and that he was never afraid of hard work. Hal also had a wonderful sense of humor. I always welcomed the chance to talk to Hal -- as I always came away feeling somewhat wiser. - Posted by: Dwight MacAulay (co-worker / friend) on: Jan 13, 2015

Aunt Maria, Ross, Gail, Hilori and Miles, I am so sad to hear of the loss of your Husband, Father and my Uncle. Uncle Harold was a great man. I have some great memories of him that I will never forget. I can still see him trying to catch me as I ran around his car as a kid. He was chasing me after I broke the antenna on his car. He was sooo mad and ready to beat me. It brings a smile to my face just thinking about it as do a few other occasions. I am sure you all have many more memories of his different faces he would make and that they too bring smiles to your faces. Again my condolences to you all. - Posted by: Ron Moyer (Nephew) on: Jan 04, 2015

"Coming to the end of your life can be a pleasant thing. I've lived a very full life with no regrets. I've learned a few things that you need to do before you die: Find peace with your God, and find peace with your loved ones. Finding peace within yourself happens along the way." - Harold Glanfield Thank you, dad. We miss you. - Posted by: Hilori Thompson (Daughter) on: Jan 02, 2015

Harold was a man that offered true feelings spoken from his heart. I will truly miss his wealth of knowledge, and no fear of if someone likes what he has to say or not. Great man. - Posted by: Ralph Eichler (Friend) on: Jan 02, 2015
