LEONARD DONALD GERALD ERSTELLE 1961 - 2014 It is with great sorrow and sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Leonard Donald Gerald Erstelle at the Seven Oaks General Hospital on Monday, December 29, 2014, at the age of 53. He will be lovingly remembered and so deeply missed by his beloved wife Karen, stepdaughter Jacqueline, stepson Craig (Marilyn), grandchildren Julian and Dominic, brothers-in-law Wallace and Wesley. Lenny was predeceased by his stepfather Robert Perry. Lenny will be sadly missed by his mother Theresa, father Leonard (Evelyn) and his siblings Mike (Ruth), Robert (Shirley), Derek (Linda), Angie (Gary), Kenny (Yvonne), Allan, Barbie; 15 nephews and nieces; and great-nephew and great-nieces. Also many aunts and uncles, numerous cousins; and an abundance of friends. Lenny was born and raised in Winnipeg, MB. He was a proud graduate of Arnold Bros. Transportation Academy and worked for North Main Trucking Ltd. Lenny was very enthusiastic, gentle and a friendly person. He loved playing guitar, singing, camping, fishing, bingo and bonding with his grandson. Everyone who knew Lenny loved his sense of humour but his most cherished trait was his humbleness and his compassionate nature. Lenny made friendships quite easily that lasted a lifetime. He will be sadly missed. Special thanks to the WPFS and the emergency staff at Seven Oaks General Hospital for the extreme effort in trying to save Lenny. Prayers and viewing will be held on Sunday, January 4, 2015, at Neil Bardal Funeral Centre, 3030 Notre Dame Avenue, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A celebration of Lenny's life will be held on Monday, January 5, 2015, at Neil Bardal Funeral Centre at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Heart & Stroke Foundation, 6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3L 0K6 or to the Kidney Foundation of Canada, Manitoba Branch, Unit 1 - 452 Dovercourt Drive, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3Y 1G4.
