CATHERINE JESSIE SLIGHT Born in Keewatin, Ontario, on May 13, 1915, to William and Agnes Mckie. On short notice on Sunday, December 28, 2014, with her son, granddaughter and great-granddaughter by her side, Gramma moved on. "Mickey" is survived by sons Pete (Julie) of Innisfal, Ontario and Terry (Sandra) of Winnipeg. She will be missed by granddaughters Kathryn (Mike) of Winnipeg, Tara (Sean) of Bradford, Ontario; grandsons Terry (Jamie) of Winnipeg, Ryan (Allison) of Toronto; great-grandchildren Eva, Vera, Rayne, Easton and LoLa; brother-in-law Don; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Alvin Thomas "Pete" Slight, in 1983; and siblings Bill, Polly, Dave, Gordon, Annie and Allan. As per Mom's wishes there will be no service and a request that memorial donations to go to CancerCare and Research.
