NELZA DE JESUS BATISTA BRAZ With her family by her side, it is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Nelza de Jesus Batista Braz. Nelza was born on October 29, 1933 in Ribeirinha, Portugal, and was taken from us on January 1, 2015. She was predeceased by her husband Joao Batista Braz in 1982, and daughter-in-law Karen Braz in 2010. Nelza is survived by her son Agostinho Braz, daughter Shauna Patek, son-in-law Mark Patek, granddaughter Francesca Patek, grandson John Patek, brother Abilio Batista (wife Amelia), brother Ze Manuel Braz (wife Isabel), sister-in-law Libania Braz, and many nieces and nephews. A special thanks to Alan Brass and his family for their love and support during this difficult time. Prayers will be held on Monday, January 5 at 6:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 6 at 10:00 a.m.at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, 181 Austin St. N. followed by Interment at Assumption Cemetery, 3990 Portage Avenue.
