Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGENEVIEVE ROSE CLUBB (SAXTON) Our Mom passed away January 6, 2015 at age 92. Born in Vera, Saskatchewan December 10, 1922, number eight of 14 children. She is survived by her daughters, Susan Trigg (Gregg), Leslie Sydorchuk (David), grandson, Steven Sydorchuk, and sister Doris Cox. She was predeceased by her husband Gordon in 2005 and daughter Barbara in 1956. She leaves to mourn her sisters-in-law Shirley Clubb and Joyce Clubb and brotherin law Ron Clubb and wife June, and several nieces and nephews. Mom's early life was spent in Unity, SK, then Meadow Lake, SK. In her early 20s she moved to Vancouver, to live with her sisters. After the war, she moved to Winnipeg, met Gordon, married in 1948, and moved to Charleswood in 1953. Long time member of Charleswood United Church and its choir, mom was always singing. Sunday school teacher, Brownie leader, community club volunteer, mom was a "doer". Berry picking, gardening, baking, golfing, sewing, all kept her more than busy. Moving to The Wellington four years ago kept Mom in Charleswood, where she continued to bake, sew, garden, sing, play cards and her new favourite, Wii bowling. Our thanks to the staff at The Wellington for their care and kindness to our mom, and to the nursing staff of the Grace Hospital for their compassion during her last stay. Funeral Service will be held at Charleswood United Church, 4820 Roblin Blvd on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. with reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated. For those who wish to sign the online Guest Book please visit our website. www.chapellawn.ca 885-9715

Leslie and Susan, saddened to hear that Aunt Gen has passed but comforted that she will now again be united with Uncle Gord and Barb. I remember when we visited Winnipeg, the family cookouts we would have in Charleswood and how your Mom and Dad were the head of those family gatherings. Julie and I still have and use daily your Mom's signature placemats (4 seasons) at our dinner table. It is amazing how through a simple set of placements that I will be able to remember Aunt Gen now that she has passed. Love Cary, Julie, Ashly and Emily. - Posted by: Cary Clubb (nephew) and family (Nephew) on: Jan 11, 2015

Dear Leslie, Mom and I are so sorry to hear that your Mom passed away. We met her at the Wellington, where she became a good friend to my Mom. Mom always enjoyed playing bridge her and she taught my Mom that a 1 and 75 on your bingo card upped your chances of winning! She was always so much fun. I remember fondly one night where my Mom, my aunt, your Mom and I had a rousing game of "Chase the Ace"... lots of laughs. She was a wonderful woman, who lived a wonderful life. I know you will miss her terribly, as will all her friends at the Wellington. With sympathy, Linda Johnson With d - Posted by: Linda Johnson and Irene Reith (friends) on: Jan 10, 2015
