Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMAURICE GABRIEL JOBIN Born November 5, 1944 Passed Away January 4, 2015 Maurice Jobin, loving husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on January 4, 2015 at the age of 70 years, in Arizona, USA. Predeceased by his parents Albert and Jeanne Jobin as well as brothers Albert, Lucien, Armand and Arthur, Maurice leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of almost 18 years, Susan, his three children Jo-Anne (Darryl) St. Goddard, Diane (Gino) Castellano, Rick (Jocelyn) Jobin as well as Susan's two children Korie-Lynn (Richard) Smith and Keith McLandress who he also thought very highly of. Brothers Henri (Gisele) Jobin, George (Gisele) Jobin, Ernie Jobin and sister Cecile (Robert) Deurbrouck, eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Not to be forgotten are nieces, nephews and many friends. Better known to many as "Moe", Maurice was born and raised in St.Claude, MB. He eventually settled in Winnipeg where he worked various jobs including gardening, florist and cooking for the Union Gospel Mission. After meeting Susan, they were inseparable and living life to the fullest with serving The Lord as their main purpose, from volunteering their time to the needy to traveling to warm destination spots in the winter. No matter what he was doing however, he always took time to check in on his children and see that things were good at home. He loved gardening, doing his daily crosswords and watching wrestling on T.V. A Service will take place in Winnipeg in the spring. Rest in peace Papa. You will be greatly missed.

Ron and I had great joy in serving together with Maurice (and later Susan) at Union Gospel Mission. Maurice was always kind and caring and went the extra mile. He truly loved his neighbour as himself and proved it by preparing the meals for residents and guests with great love and care. Thanking the LORD for the witness and testimony that he leaves behind. My thoughts are prayers are with you Susan and your family. - Posted by: Linda Robertson (Friend) on: Jan 12, 2015

I knew Moe back in the 80's, we both were going in the wrong direction. Glad to hear that Moe met a lady that helped him have a wonderful life. Last time I saw Moe was at the Grace Hospital about 10 years ago. We just had time to say hello and how are you doing. He seemed so happy. R.I.P. Even though we did not spend a lot of time together, I considered Maurice one of my closest friends, and Maurice and Susan one of my closest couple friends. Maurice was so soft spoken and so faithful and trustworthy. I know we will all miss him, but we know he is in a better place continuing on with his Savior Jesus. Our prayers will be with you Susan. We will see you in the Spring. - Posted by: Ed Mullis (Friend) on: Jan 11, 2015

So sorry to hear of the passing of your beloved Maurice. I remember our days together at F.H. and I'm particularly thankful for your attention to my little Braydon. I was eventually able to adopt him, and he recently graduated from high school. All the help we received along the way is greatly appreciated. You and Maurice have remained in our thoughts and prayers. Wishing you God's peace and comfort. - Posted by: Caroline (Holland) Stevenson (former colleague at Forward House) on: Jan 10, 2015
