Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySIGRIDUR (SIGGA) EMERSON (nee DANIELSON) Sigga Emerson passed away peacefully at the age of 99, on Friday, January 9, 2015, in Lion's Manor Personal Care Center. She was predeceased by her husband Samuel Emerson , seven brothers and one sister. Sigga was born in Lundar, Manitoba, on June 4, 1915. She moved to the city of Winnipeg in 1930, married Sam in 1954 and maintained a home for him and other family members at 1007 Ashburn St. She will be missed and lovingly remembered by nieces, nephews and friends for her loving nature and great ability as homemaker and hostess. The weddings, dinners and other events prepared by her will always be remembered. Heartfelt thanks to the staff at Lion's Manor Personal Care Center for their kind and compassionate care. Donations can be made in memory of Sigridur Emerson to Lion's Manor Personal Care Center or the Alzheimer's Society of Canada, 20 Eglinton Ave. W., 16th Floor, Toronto, Ontario, M4R 1K8, if so desired. Memorial service 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 15, 2015, at Bardal Funeral Home, 843 Sherbrook Street, interment at Brookside Cemetery.
