BEVERLEY IRENE HEIDE (nee TICHBORNE) November 21, 1940 - January 11, 2015 Peacefully on Sunday, January 11, 2015, with her entire family at her side, Bev moved on from her battle. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Dan; one son Paul (Janice); two daughters, Patricia and Kathy (Mathew); as well as the apples of her eye, two grandsons, Dylan (Katelyn) and Brenden. Bev and Dan were true partners in the operations of the Heide household. Mom always loved arts and crafts and would build, paint, knit every new craft that anyone had seen. She was never satisfied until everyone had their favourite one in the perfect form. As a grandmother, she could not contain her love and pride for her boys , her grandsons, Dylan and Brenden. In keeping with Mom's wishes, cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held. The family would like to thank the staff of the St. Boniface Hospital Palliative Care Unit and the Palliative Home Care team for their compassionate, discrete care. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bev's memory may be made to the Siloam Mission. 204-586-8044

Condolences & Memories (9 entries)

  • To all the family, Bev and I had some good times at Ralph Brown Community Centre, socials, and tournaments, a lot of laughs. Bev was a lovely person and everyone will miss her dearly. I am so sorry for your loss, and I hope time will mellow the grief that you feel, and soon you will remember Bev with a smile instead of a tear, as I am learning to do. • Dan, Paul, Patty & Kathy: We are so sorry for your loss. Bev. & I corresponded from a very young age. If only we had lived closer, we would have got to know each other better. We know she will be missed and I will miss hearing from her. We will always appreciate the family tree she did. To think the cousin that lived the farthest away was the one to complete it. • Dear Heide family. So sorry to hear of your loss. I remember all the times a few of us girls used to meet trying to battle the bulge. Many laughs & good times were had. Bev always spoke & shared stories of Family. You were all very loved. - Posted by: Carol ingimundsonn (Friend) on: Jan 20, 2015

  • I found a penny today, just laying on the ground. But it's not just a penny, this little coin I've found. "Found" Pennies come from heaven that's what my Grandpa told me. He said angels toss them down, oh, how I love that story. He said when an angel misses you, they toss a penny down. Sometimes just to cheer you up, make a smile out of your frown. So don't pass by that penny when you're feeling blue, it may be a penny from heaven that an angel tossed just for you ;-) thinking of you - Posted by: dawna Shawna (friend) on: Jan 19, 2015

  • So sorry for your loss Kathy, and also to the rest of your family. Mother-daughter relationships are the most powerful relationships in a woman's life. Your sorrow is sure to be so deep as you often spoke so proudly of your loving supportive parents. I will always remember those chocolate roses your Mom made for H.F. What a nice thing for her to do. - Posted by: Debbie Gerbrandt () on: Jan 19, 2015

She was a truly warm and loving person with a sunny smile for all. I know her absence will leave a big hole in your hearts. • Heide Family, Sorry to hear of your loss. Bev and I became acquainted when I worked at Dominion foods stores when Paul worked there. Dan was a teacher of mine and Kathy babysat a few times for me. She also crocheted a sweater for my son back then which was greatly appreciated. She was a very nice lady. Time will heal the loss.
