MARIAN SHIRLEY BALDWIN (nee KRISTJANSON) June 13, 1937 - January 12, 2015 Mom passed peacefully with family by her side on the evening of Monday, January 12. She was a mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and true friend, and will be profoundly missed by all who knew her. Marian will be remembered for her unwavering kindness, generosity, loyalty, humility, and her frequent, spontaneous, and heartfelt laugh. Marian was a devoted and loving mother to her four sons, Doug, Don (Bonnie), Kevin (Lorraine), and Greg, and a proud and adoring grandmother to her five grandchildren, Nicole, Lucas, Brock, Jessica, and Lauren. With her huge heart and kind nature, she made close and lasting friendships throughout her life, and will be deeply missed by a large group of loving friends. Marian was born in Lundar, Manitoba and grew up on a farm with her parents, brother, and sister. She moved to Winnipeg at the age of 18 to work, where she met and married Gary Baldwin in 1962. The family eventually settled in North Delta, and Marian worked hard to provide a loving home for her boys in Sunshine Hills. Marian was a skilled gardener and loved to work in the soil and admire the beauty that was created. She was also a very hard worker, and was employed at the Evergreen Baptist Care Home in White Rock for many years. She is predeceased by her parents, and survived by her sons, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, former husband, siblings, many friends, and a large extended family in Manitoba. The family would like to thank dear friend, Judy Drummond, who has provided so much care and kindness for Marian. A celebration of Marian's life will take place on Saturday, January 24 at 2:00 p.m. Valley View Funeral Home at 14644-72 Ave., Surrey. Reception to follow.
