DAVID JOHN LEE, P. ENG 1938 - 2015 Peacefully, on the evening of Friday, January 16, 2015, David passed away at the Victoria Hospital from complications arising from Parkinson's disease. David was predeceased by his parents John and Harriet, his brother Garth, and his brother-in-law Ronald. Remaining to cherish his memory are Karen, his wife of 51 years, his sons Brent (Beverley) and Brian, and his grandson James. David is also survived by his brothers Craig (Ruth) and Norval (Joan), his sister Elizabeth, his sister-in-law Beverly, Karen's sister Margaret (Ted), many nieces and nephews and many friends. Dave was born May 22, 1938 on the farm in Erickson, MB. After attending public school in Erickson he went on to the University of Manitoba from which he graduated in 1960 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Dave was employed by John Deere for several years before moving to Alberta where he accepted a position with Texaco Canada and then Imperial Oil. He retired to Winnipeg in 2002. Dave was very active in his church, singing in the choir, serving on committees and council, and acting as Treasurer for more than 25 years. He enjoyed curling, golf, playing bridge, keeping an eye on the stock market and wine making. Family times were always very special to him so there were many trips across Saskatchewan for family occasions. A celebration of life will be held at Faith Lutheran Church, 1311 Dakota Street, on Thursday, January 22, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
