Lived two doors down from the Borts during our childhood. Fond memories of going to their home and listening to Jean play the Piano or Jean was over at our house to play. Mr. Bort was a man of few words but always had a smile. - Posted by: The Chymyshyn Family (Neighbor) on: Jan 28, 2015

I grew up living next door to Marian. Back then, children didn't call adults by their first name, so he was always "Mr. Bort" to me. I recall playing Barbies with his daughter Jean when we were very young, and whenever he was out in his yard, Mr. Bort always gave a smile and a shy but friendly "hello." We moved several years ago and I'm sad to hear that Mr. Bort has passed. I offer my sincere condolences to Mrs. Bort and Jean. - Posted by: Theresa (Terry) Livingston (Former Neighbor) on: Jan 26, 2015

We are sincerely saddened to hear of Marian's passing. The Bort family lived next door for almost 30 years and we so vividly recall Marian taking his daily stroll down the front walk and back again. Stefania and Jean, you can take comfort in knowing that Marian will always be fondly remembered by all who knew him. We are sorry for your loss.
