BARBARA GOBERT Barbara died in Kitchener, ON just before 12:00 midnight on January 17, 2015. She had suffered from the effects of Parkinson's disease and is now fully restored in His image, in heaven. Barbara is survived by her loving sons, Jeff Jackson and husband Lonny West and Andrew Jackson and wife Lisa; grandsons, Ben and Jake; her mother, Marie Simpson; niece, Colleen Laird and husband Jarred; and nephew, Mathew Simpson and wife Katie. Predeceased by her father, Roy Simpson; husband, Gerry Gobert; brother, Roy Simpson and wife Janice. A memorial service will be held at Redeemer Lutheran Church, Waterloo, ON on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. A memorial service will also be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 31, 2015 in Winnipeg, MB at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church, 1541 St. Mary's Rd. where Barbara leaves many other family members and friends. A light luncheon will follow. Private interment will be made in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Winnipeg. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Parkinson Society of Canada or the Nicaraguan Mission at Redeemer Lutheran Church, Waterloo may be arranged by contacting the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, Ontario, www.erbgood.com or 519-745-8445

Barbara faithfully worked for me for years at Beautiful Savior in Winnipeg. I will always remember her fondly as a kind, helpful, faithful secretary. It was a very difficult decision for her to leave Winnipeg, her church, her friends and her mother. Yet, to be near her children and grandchildren, she thought it best to move to Kitchener. She had many difficulties and challenges in her life but met them with grace and a strong faith in her Savior, Jesus Christ. - Posted by: Rev.
