Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMIRANDA LOUISE (TINY TANK) CHARTRAND (Little Hummingbird Woman) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our daughter, sister, auntie, granddaughter, niece, cousin and friend Miranda Louise (Tiny Tank) Chartrand, August 20, 1993 - January 16, 2015. Miranda (Tiny Tank) joins her mother Joanne; her brother Shannon; grandparents Frank and Myrtle; aunts and uncles Steve, Jackie and Rose. She will be missed by her father Wally, stepmom Connie, sisters Amanda, Vanessa and Whisper Star, and her brothers Clifford, Misko and Zoongide. Also missing her will be her grandparents Peter and Margaret (Alma) Thomas; her aunties and uncles, nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. Miranda, Tiny Tank as she was also known by her friends and family, was a free-spirited, beautiful young woman who loved to travel and explore the many experiences life had to offer within her short time here on Turtle Island. She's made numerous friends from coast to coast upon her travels and would share her experiences with her family. Throughout this period, she could be seen travelling with her best friend Skud, her dog. Tiny will be known for her beautiful smile and kindness. She will also be known for always helping others who needed it most. Please come and join us as we celebrate her life and say farewell as she begins this next journey walking amongst the grandmothers and grandfathers, her mother and brother and her relatives. An all night Memorial Wake on Thursday, January 29, 2015 beginning at 7:00 p.m. at the Ma Mawi Wi Chi Itata Centre, 445 King Street. Traditional Ceremonial Service will commence at 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 30, 2015 at the Ma Mawi Wi Chi Itata Centre, 445 King Street. Spiritual Elders Paul Guimond and John Kent will lead the ceremonies to prepare her for her journey. The Keewatin Otchitchak Traditional Women's Drum Group will be singing the honour and farewell song. Pallbearers will be: Amanda Nelson, Vanessa Chartrand, Larissa Mink, Kennedy Ewen, Courtney Ewen and Whisper Star Chartrand. Please join us on Friday after the ceremony for a traditional feast at the Ma Mawi Wi Chi Itata Centre, 445 King Street. You are more than welcome, if you would like, to bring a feast plate to share with everyone.
