Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMAVIS ENID CAMPBELL Mavis Enid Campbell (nee Millar) passed away in her sleep at Riverwood Square in Winnipeg on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at the age of 89. Mavis is survived by her daughter Pat (Max) MacCrimmon and granddaughters Penny and Andrea. Mavis is also survived by her sisters-in-law Kathleen Campbell and Barbara (John) Carpenter, nephew Andrew and nieces Jennifer, Deborah, Catherine, Jane and Christine. She was predeceased by her husband, Dr. A. Barrie Campbell, her parents Peter and Mabel Millar, brother-in-law A. Lorne Campbell and nephew Duncan Campbell. Mavis was raised in Winnipeg, attended the University of Manitoba and spent many summers at Victoria Beach. She was an avid curler (Heather Curling Club) and loved reading, playing bridge and solving crossword puzzles. Mavis enjoyed travelling - she and Barrie went on a number of cruises together, toured New Zealand when Barrie's research took him there and made many road trips across Ontario and the prairies to visit Pat and Max. She had a great love of dogs. At her request, there will be no service. A private family gathering will be held at a later date. If desired, a donation may be made to a charity of your choice.
