Gini was part of our extended family and we came to know her better in many gatherings over years in Winnipeg. Talked on internet in recent years since we moved away, and found she was a good corresponding friend too--alert, animated, interested, curious--and the humour came through too! She will be missed from afar. Safe home Gini from the Hong Kong Lauders. - Posted by: Ailsa McGregor Lauder (cousin-in-law) on: Feb 10, 2015

I was honoured to attend her 60th birthday party, which she threw for herself. Her darling Ken cooked, and Gini sent everyone home with a goodie bag - including a pair of socks! That was her, that was them. It was such a blessing they found each other and had a really, really good time. This is what I will always remember - and of course her infectious laugh. My sympathies to all who knew and loved them. - Posted by: Beth Proven (Friend) on: Feb 06, 2015

I knew Gini years and years ago, while in Deer Lodge Junior High, I spent many good times with her and her wonderful personality at her home on Douglas Park Drive, never forgot the great times we shared Gini. Heaven has another Angel! - Posted by: Judy () on: Feb 04, 2015

I did not know Gini well but knew her as my mother and her mother were longtime friends. During those early childhood years, my being 4 years older did make a difference thus I did not see Gini during my adult years as I moved away from Wpg. What I did know about Gini was her big heart. I know she suffered MS and losses in her life and I truly admire her for overcoming many of her struggles. Good on you Gini! - Posted by: Susan McMillan (As children ) on: Feb 01, 2015

Go you will my friend, go well. You will be missed by so many. Since your passing I picture you and Ken, as you were in your wedding picture, on the beach in Hawaii, walking hand in hand along the beach at sunset with the conch player in the background, having just announced your arrival. I trust it is true. - Posted by: Kay Shewfelt Boyd (Friend) on: Feb 01, 2015

I knew Gini 35 years ago when we both worked for lawyers. We had lost touch with each other until we met again in Facebook just a short while ago. I am saddened that we never had a chance to see each other outside of Facebook. Rest in peace my friend. - Posted by: Brenda Rutherford (Friend) on: Jan 31, 2015

I met Gini about ten years ago when she was living on Collegiate with her two close friends Biss and Snap. I first came to her in my capacity of caregiver, but we soon realized we were meant to be friends as well. I so enjoyed her sparkly wit and here cheerful demeanor. She has been through many struggles in her life and overcome so much. I am sure she is enjoying herself now in the Garden, reunited with her Ken, and her friends and relatives gone before her. - Posted by: Alice Robinson (friend) on: Jan 31, 2015

I am shocked and saddened to learn of the passing of my dear friend Gini. I knew *of* Gini throughout my school years, but never really got to know her until we worked together on several committees for the SJCI 2001 High School reunion. I was immediately drawn to her bubbly personality and her unique sense of humor. We quickly became steadfast friends. Gini met every challenge without complaint and started each new day with enthusiasm. Her boisterous laugh would bring a huge smile to my face! She truly had a heart of gold. Rest in Peace with the Angels my friend - I will miss you - ❤️🌹 - Posted by: Jan Hetherington (Friend) on: Jan 31, 2015
