LEONARD C. MEYERS With his family by his side Len passed away on January 28, 2015 in Chilliwack, BC at the age of 85. Len was born in 1929 in Cloverleaf, Manitoba to the late August and Hilda (Kietzer) Meyers, and predeceased by his sisters Elsie and Adeline, nephew Redford and son-in-law Ronald. He moved to Beausejour from the farm when he was 15. He attended Red River College and became a journeyman carpenter. He was employed at Canadian Forces Station, Beausejour for 25 years. He moved to Victoria, BC in 1986 and retired in Chilliwack, BC in 1987. He had a love for gardening, flowers, playing crib, watching hockey, camping, travelling and celebrating his birthday on Canada Day. He is survived by his wife Eleanore (Kryschuk) for 59 years, his children Leslie (Laurie) of Emo, ON, Charlene (Keith) Stobert of Wainwright, AB and Tammy (late Ronald) Opyc of Kenora ON. His grandchildren Kerry (Mike) Canfield, Kim (Justin) Morgan, Hayley (Kris) Keefe, Dustin (Genie) Stobert, Heidi Stobert, Jolen (Jessica) Opyc and Lexine (Wesley) Ammerman. Len was blessed with six great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank Dr. Weatherston and the caring staff at the Chilliwack Hospital and the Bradley Centre for their exceptional care. A memorial service will follow in the spring in Beausejour, MB. Donations can be made to the charity of your choice. "Forever in our thoughts and prayers"
