Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALVIN JAMES LUPRYPA 1953 - 2015 Alvin James Luprypa was born on August 29, 1953 to Anne and Walter Luprypa (deceased) in Gimli, MB, and peacefully passed away at his home on January 22, 2015. He will be sadly missed by his dear friend and companion Janice Paice and Janice's endeared daughter Lauren Kazimirowich. Also left to mourn, his brother Danny (partner Raylene Snow) nieces Samara, Tabitha and nephew Danny-Jo, his brother Barry (Aileen), and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. In his life, Alvin became a business entrepreneur in many ventures which included direct sales, a meat processing shop, farming and commercial fishing. Those who knew Alvin will always remember his unique, adventurous spirit. He loved the outdoors especially hunting deer and moose, and fishing in the Dauphin River. You can be assured that Alvin would include a sarcastic remark, a practical joke or a quick-witted response to any situation. While growing up, Alvin was a bit of a prankster known to cause a wee bit of trouble in the neighbourhood and was repeatedly seen running to avoid his Mom's wooden spoon. Anyone who knew Alvin would agree that he chose to live his life "on his own terms." The family wants to thank the Gimli Community Health Centre staff especially CancerCare nurses Julie and Tanis. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Alvin's life will occur at a later date.

Alvin will be very much missed, especially his quick wit and remarks you didn't expect. He had a great sense of humour, a kind and generous man, and that we'll never forget about him. R.I P Alvin. - Posted by: El and June Evans (Very good friends) on: Feb 01, 2015
