To a very special friend that I knew as a brother or a son. I was very close to Sandy as far back as 1977. I had lived with the family when I first got out of the military. They treated me like I was part of their family. I was at Sandy's wedding but then lost contact. I just found out about this a couple of days ago and was very shocked. My condolences go out to his wife and the family. I'm sorry I couldn't be there. - Posted by: Daniel O'Brien (Friend.) on: Feb 05, 2015

I will cherish the memories we had and the friendship that will last a lifetime. I just want you to know that I share in your grief at this time and wish I could be there with you all, but you are in my thoughts and prayers today and the days that will follow xoxo Helen Jackson (Vanemberg) - Posted by: Helen Jackson (Cousin) on: Feb 05, 2015

Sandy went from working with my mom to being the brother I never had...Him and Walda would come over all the time... help out with stuff around the house, hang out with mom who was not well at the time...share laughs, tears. Sandy passed exactly 10 months after my mom! We will always miss you and you will always be in our hearts. May your soul rest in peace. - Posted by: Salimah Jiwani (Friend from BC) on: Feb 04, 2015
