  • Thank you for sharing the nice story about my dad and aunty Lizzie. Its nice to hear good stories of my Dad George and it is heart warming to hear other people cared and loved my Dad. I too had the pleasure to meet my aunt Lizzie and see her cute little house in Duck Bay. During my visit to Duck Bay in summer of 2003. Time seems to flash as quick as the day turns to night. It seems just like yesterday my dad left. My heart still mourns the memory still fresh as time goes I too will heal from his loss. Dad is free now not dependent on others. That is what gives me peace for now. His beloved Georgina and her sons Brad, Derek, Dillon, Dezmond, Tyrell, and Zayne Georges grandsons. Happiness to all my relations in Manitoba and God Bless. - Posted by: Georgina Pelletier (Daughter ) on: Dec 20, 2015

  • Was just reading all the tributes to my uncle , from his daughters, and I know how it feels to lose a parent. My mom Lizzie, has been gone for over 5 years now, and not a day goes by that I don't think of her. Today also marks the anniversary of when auntie Pauline passed 2 years ago. I'll always remember the special bond my uncle George had with my mom, and he would go visit her in Duck Bay. My mom would bake him bannock, and they would share stories from back in the day. I went to see uncle on the Monday before he left us, and I washed his hair, and hands. He knew who I was, as he said my name when I asked him in our language " Do you know me " I went to say prayers for all our family at the gravesite in Duck Bay not so long ago, and I never experienced so much peace in my heart for a long time as I did that day. As Christmas approaches I will send my prayers to all of uncle George's family to find peace in their hearts, as I felt that day in the cemetery........Peace, and Joy to uncle George, and all his family.....Love Flora, Paul, Bryce, Patricia, and Jacob......Love you uncle.!!!!!! - Posted by: Flora Proulx (Niece) on: Dec 07, 2015
