DANIEL GEORGE LINDSAY July 30, 1970 - January 27, 2015 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dan on January 27, 2015 in Calgary, AB at the age of 44. Dan fought a hard and courageous battle with cancer and is now with his beloved wife Dawn. They are watching over their children, Carter and Maddy. A memorial service will be held to celebrate Dan's courage on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. (M.S.T.) at the Golden Civic Centre, 806 10th Avenue, S, Golden, BC. In lieu of flowers a trust fund has been set up at the C.I.B.C. in Golden for Carter and Maddy.

  • I had the privilege of knowing my friend Dan for many years. I am deeply saddened by his passing so shortly after his lovely wife Dawn's passing a couple years earlier. My thoughts and prayers are with Carter & Maddy. Dan was so brave in his pursuit to get better and in the challenges he faced in his business pursuit.   • Dan was a frequent guest of our hotel when coming to Calgary for hospital visits. he was well liked and a inspiration to many of our staff at the hotel. He always stayed positive even when it was apparent he was not feeling well. His children were very inspiring in the way they cared for him just as he did the same in the past.   • I was deeply saddened to hear of Dan's passing and feel privileged to have gotten to know him when I lived in Golden. I enjoyed chatting with him since he was always so inspiring and positive - even with everything he was facing. My thoughts are with his family, particularly Carter and Maddy. It is difficult to know what to say to you both but please know that your father's legacy will live on in you and I know that he was very proud of you both.
