Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCHRISTIE GERSHMAN (nee YASCHUK) It is with much sadness I announce that my beloved daughter passed away in Los Angeles on January 29, 2015, with her family by her side. She succumbed to cancer. Christie was born in Calgary, Alberta on August 24, 1948. In 1974 she married the love of her life, Greg Gershman. She was predeceased by her mother Aileen and brother Bill. Left to mourn: her husband Greg; daughters Ashley Pope (Jeremy), Chelsee Davidson (Stephen), and Jordan; son Donald; sister Heather Hughes (David) and family - Braden, Brittany, and Josh (Cheryl), and her father Michael Yaschuk. Christie went to King George Elementary School and Nelson McIntyre Collegiate in Norwood. She was a figure skater in her youth and was a junior member at St. Boniface Golf Club. She was a devoted mother to her son and three daughters and husband Greg. Cremation has taken place and a private interment will take place. Your smile, love of life and sunny outlook will be greatly missed.
