Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySIDONIE MARIE MCDERMOTT (nee WILSON) With profound sadness we announce that after a courageous battle with illness, Sidonie passed away in hospital on January 29, 2015 at the age of 78 years. Sidonie was born in Winnipeg and lived here all of her life. She was employed at Motor Coach for 28 years and worked for numerous other places during her lifetime. She enjoyed bingo, reading and trips to the casino. Sidonie was a member of the Winnipeg South Legion Branch 252 until 2013. She is survived by her loving son Patrick (Susie); sisters Gertrude Greengrass and Beverley (Stan) Managh; brother Jim Izzard, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Sidonie will also be fondly remembered by her close friends Ruth and Fran. Sidonie was predeceased by her husband Richard; parents Jack and Margaret Wilson; brother-in-law Edward Greengrass; sister-in-law Helen Izzard, and her nephew Tim Managh. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the charity of your choice. In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held. We were next door neighbors while growing up and spent many times at each others home. In summer holidays the Wilson home was the place to play cards. So sorry to hear today of your loss.
