My mother's cousin, Dorothy (or Dodo as she was fondly called) was one of the most inspirational people I have ever met. She was tough and kind and creative and very positive about life. I remember a story she told me about meeting her Max. She said that he was the most handsome man she had ever met and she thought to herself, 'someone's going to marry him - why shouldn't it be me?' I love that attitude, well ahead of her time when most women were feeling unworthy. I last visited Dorothy in Vancouver in 2007. She was a pleasure to be with, at almost 100 years of age, and still my inspiration. My condolences to Gary and Allan and their families. - Posted by: Reesa Sorin (Cousin Gertie's daughter/ Uncle Ben and Auntie Minnie's granddaughter) on: Feb 08, 2015
