Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOHN LAWSON BENT February 3, 1942 - St. Stephen, New Brunswick February 4, 2015 - Calgary, Alberta John Lawson Bent died suddenly in his home the day after his 73rd birthday on February 4, 2015 in Calgary, Alberta. John was born on February, 1942 in St. Stephen New Brunswick, and attended Saint Mary's University in the 1960s. After marrying his wife Janet, he moved to Calgary in 1969 where he spent the rest of his life. A jack of all trades, John was at one time or another, a teacher, a realtor, a pilot, a barber, a geologist, a publisher, a photographer, a fisherman, and finally settling for a world traveler in the late 1980s. John is survived by his son John Jr. of Winnipeg; his brother James and his wife Agnes of Bridgewater; and his nieces Kimberly, Shelly, and Mary, all of a Bent persuasion. He is preceded in death by his wife, Janet (nee O'Connor), and his parents William and Josephine. A Private Family Gathering will be held at a later date.
