So glad we had a chance to visit both him and Gary about 5 years ago in Kingston. He would be happy to know that I have passed on his book on the Selkirk Fishermen to our grandson who now plays for them. We will miss him greatly. - Posted by: Robert & Pat Penwarden (nephew/wife) on: Feb 18, 2015

I met him once when I was very young. Hazel and Elma were often visitors and I remember Garnet also. So sorry to hear of his passing. - Posted by: Carlyne Murphy (2nd cousin) on: Feb 16, 2015

I was sorry to learn of the passing of my uncle Lloyd. The last time I saw him was at my mom's funeral in 2011. We shared a lot of memories of the old days with him at that time. Lloyd had so many stories about the hockey history of Selkirk, he was so passionate about the hockey players who came from our area especially the players of Icelandic heritage. I know he enjoyed his visit to the old barn that we call an arena in Selkirk. He also showed us where the old dairy was located and the church he was married in. It was a real pleasure and an honor for my son Andy and I to have him to ourselves for a day. We learned a lot about the old days from him. He will be missed. He was a true gentleman. - Posted by: Rick Dewar (nephew) on: Feb 15, 2015
