ISABELLA (ENA) MCAULEY (nee IRVINE) February 7, 1927 - February 2, 2015 It is with heavy hearts the family announces the sudden passing of our much loved mom, sister and grandma on February 2, 2015, at the St. Boniface Hospital. Ena is survived by sons Doug and Neil, grandchildren Lorne, Jackie and families, brother Bob, sisters Margaret and Betty, nieces and nephews. Mom grew up in the West End where she met some of her lifelong friends. After high school she worked at Eatons and joined the bowling league, meeting more lifelong friends and her future husband Don. After getting married mom moved to St. Vital and started her family. She was a great stay at home mom and was always there for us. She was friendly and outgoing and knew most people in the neighbourhood. Mom was kind and loved animals, always having a scrap of food for the neighbourhood pets and the occasional stray. She enjoyed going to the Windsor theatre and bowling in the St. Vital league at the Coronation. Many good times were had with her bowling pals and their shopping trips to Grand Forks. Mom enjoyed socializing and we will miss her humour. After Dad passed away Mom sold the family home and moved to an apartment. With the help of family she was able to reside there until her passing. We will love and miss her forever. The family would like to thank the Paramedics and staff at the St. Boniface Hospital for their compassionate and loving care. And thank you Dr. Sheila Domke for being mom's doctor over the years. We appreciate your help and kindness. Mom spoke of you often. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society. Cremation has taken place. The family will gather at a later date to celebrate her life.
