LAUREN GERALDINE VIGFUSSON March 17, 1958 - February 5, 2015 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lauren Vigfusson from a chronic case of stubbornness which led to medical complications. Left to mourn is her mother Glenda, brothers Bruce, Lance, Darren and Todd, sister Jamee, uncle Terry, plus nieces, nephews, cousins and a large extended family. Lauren was predeceased by grandparents Geraldine and Bill Whyte, Gudrun and Eirkur Vigfusson, father Leslie Vigfusson, aunts Karen and Wendy Whyte, cousin Tiffany Whyte. Lauren was born and raised in Winnipeg. She excelled scholastically, winning awards in Home Economics, and graduated from Sisler High School. She began working in Canadian Airlines and continued for 25 years, retiring in Calgary, AB, from Air Canada. Lauren was a warm, sensitive, hard working, intelligent person who warmed the hearts of many. A huge thank you from her family to the doctors, nurses, medical staff, social workers, case workers, crisis workers, councillors, neighbours and co-workers. Last, but not least, to all her many friends across Canada who have supported her through her journey. A celebration of her life will be held in the summer time of 2015. Facebook will have location and time details. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Addictions Foundation of Manitoba, afm.mb.ca, 204-944-6260. Bardal Funeral Home, 843 Sherbrook St., in care of arrangements.
