Cherished aunts and uncles, Pat, Alfie, Mary-Ann, Ted, Pat and Bill and his many cousins will also miss his presence in their lives. I just learnt of Richard's passing and would like to pass on my sincerest condolences to Heidi, Tanya, Curt and the Dagg family. I met Richard while attending Red River College Civil Engineering in Winnipeg in 1969 and over the years we became best friends. Richard and I made many memories, lots of laughs and tried to stay out of trouble. Richard was my best man at my wedding and what a wedding it was. I remember the day Richard told me he was moving to Calgary to start a job with UMA Engineering, I was overwhelmed with disappointment. Richard and I kept in touch over the years, but not as frequent as I would have liked. I will sincerely miss him and our time together and hold onto the many memories I have of Richard. Rest in Peace. I would appreciate if you could email me with the information or announcement for his memorial service in Treherne this summer so that I can say my farewells to my best friend. My condolences to Richard's family. Poogie was special. He always had a mischievous look in his eyes and he was always up to something. You couldn't help but like him. One of my memories is of him playing the last post on his trumpet for Remembrance Day ceremonies in Birch River. - Posted by: Miles Corbett (friend) on: Mar 09, 2015

I had the pleasure of being Richard's best friend growing up in Birch River through the 50's, 60's and 70's. The experiences we shared will be with me forever and ever. I loved him like a brother as indeed he was. I miss our conversations already. - Posted by: Terry Wellman () on: Feb 17, 2015

Condolences to the Dagg family and relatives. 'Poogie' and I attended school in BR and his grandmother taught me in Gr.1. I knew his Mom and Dad. Since Brian Dagg Jr. has become the head pro at SWGC in Winnipeg, I've had the good fortune to work for him. So unfortunate to be taken so young. My prayers are with you. - Posted by: Clayton Kemp (Childhood in BirchRiver) on: Feb 15, 2015
