Condolences & Memories (11 entries)

  • Ron was a friend of mine during his brief career at Sears. It was easy to see then he would go on to bigger and better things..and he did. A great mentor for me whose bark was bigger than his bite. He had a great sense of humour and I remember some great laughs with him and Bill Desrosiers. - Posted by: John Freeman (Friend) on: Nov 22, 2015

  • Yags was a beauty. Great co-worker and a friend for 31 years. Always worked hard & laughed lots. Enjoyed our time over the years. Rest in peace our friend. Sandy & Joan Lynch - Posted by: Sandy & Joan Lynch (Friends) on: Feb 25, 2015

  • As we age, our most prized possessions are good memories. Ron provided some of the best memories from our days at Kelvin High School. Thanks Ron! - Posted by: Dave Chamick (friend) on: Feb 25, 2015

  • Ron always said that he was here for a good time, not a long time as he drank beer and told jokes. He was fun, crazy and loud. Bill, I am thinking of you as it is hard to lose a sibling. - Posted by: Donna Jenkins (cousin) on: Feb 23, 2015

  • Ron was quite the character. I always remember him and his brother Bill fighting - almost legendary. Bill, sorry to learn about Ron - Posted by: Dave Little (neigbor) on: Feb 22, 2015

  • Rest in peace brother. - Posted by: Bill Yager (brother) on: Feb 19, 2015

  • I am so sad that he is gone. I know he struggled with his health for many years but before that was such a live wire, I will always remember him in Grade 10 when we were in the same class room. The French teacher asked him how he was, & he said "come Si come Sa"& got away with this short answer. He was a wonderful generous person & provided my children with skates & later cross country ski's. He knew about Gingerbread Houses at Xmas & just generally was a wonderful person although somewhat abrasive at times. I wish you a gentle rest beside your Mom who you never forgot. Much Love Terry. - Posted by: Terry Miller (first cousin) on: Feb 19, 2015

  • "One of the greatest characters of all time". I met Ron in the late 70's through Brian McLeod at Y/M Sweatercraft. We built a tremendous business and personal relationship that continued on until today. I always remember Ron as one of the most enthusiastic and loveable people that anyone could meet. He always was a giver and loved to tease his buddies. His many years with CCM and travelling back and forth to Montreal showed his commitment to whatever he did. It has been a real pleasure to have known Ron and the Yager family over the years. My deepest condolences to the entire family. - Posted by: George Sigurdson (Friend) on: Feb 19, 2015
