JOHN MATTIS September 29, 1940 - February 8, 2015 John Mattis, son of John and Katharina Mattis, peacefully passed away after six long weeks at Nanaimo Regional Hospital with family members at his side. John will be forever missed by his wife of 55 years, Janet, and three children Kelly (Glenn), Richard, Jan-Marie (Brent). He is also survived by six grandchildren, Lisa (Caleb), Sara (Mat), Marla (Luke), Christin (Caleb), Chase and Carly. Celebration of John's life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 25, 2015, at John Black United Church, 898 Henderson Hwy. Reception to follow. If so desired, donations can be made to the Canadian Lung Society or charity of your choice.
