NELLIE ALICE WOODBECK It is with great sorrow and deep sadness that we announce the passing of Nellie Alice Woodbeck on February 13, 2015 at Meadowood Manor, at the age of 93. Nellie was predeceased by her husband Colin Woodbeck (2008), her father and mother Alfred and Alice Bembridge, by her brothers Fenton Bembridge (Stella) and Leslie Bembridge, and sister Joyce Johnson. Remaining to cherish Nellie's memory is her sister Edna Towsley (Ted), many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews. Nellie's parents moved from England to Bredenbury, SK. When Nellie was 15 the family moved to Thunder Bay, ON. Nellie married Colin Woodbeck on July 27, 1942. They were devoted to each other for 65 years until Colin's passing in 2008. Nellie was a seamstress by trade. She took so much pride in her work. She loved to share her stories of her travels and life experiences. Nellie was a special person to several generations of the Stratton family. Cremation and interment has taken place. Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd., 204-982-7550.
