RUTH VIVIAN ROSIN It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of our mother Ruth at the age of 89 years on February 15, 2015 at Maples Personal Care Home. She was predeceased by her husband Herman; daughter Linda (John); son Ronald (Lynn); parents Edmond and Annie Mae; siblings Leo, Alfred, George, Cecil, Walter, Kenneth, and Grace. Those left to cherish her memory are her son Douglas (Karen); grandchildren Tammy, Charmaine, and Derek. Mom will also be dearly missed by numerous extended family members and friends. Mom worked for Canadian Airlines and retired in 1990. She was a longstanding member of the Brooklands and Weston Legion No. 2. She enjoyed a good game of crib, playing bingo, and dancing. Mom liked to fish and caught a Master Angler 3.74 kg Walleye on the Red River. Mom did her share of travelling - Australia, Japan, Vegas, Reno, Fuji - just to name a few. She was also an avid curling and baseball fan. Mom liked being with friends and family. Her home was often a gathering place for dinners, card games, and lots of laughter. She was open and genuine with people she knew well, as well as people she just met. Mom was always available to help out if needed. She had a smile for everyone. A special thank you to the staff at the Maples Personal Care Home for their care and comfort of our "Tea Granny". In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Salvation Army or the Humane Society in Mom's honour. Memorial service 1:00 p.m., Monday, February 23, 2015 at Bardal Funeral Home, 843 Sherbrook Street. Reception to follow. Mom was an amazing woman and we will miss her. Toodles, Mom! Love you!
