KATHLEEN GREEN It is with mixed emotions that the family of Kathleen Green share the news of her passing on the day of February 13, 2015. We all knew we were fortunate and blessed to have had her in our lives for as long as we did. We are all grateful for the time shared, especially in the later years. 94 years is something to be proud of and she absolutely knew it! Kathleen was a loyal loving wife to Billie (1987), a mom to Linda (Gary) Rozmus, a sister to Nell, Ollie, Ann, Julie, Johnny and Walter (all better known as the Kolida family), a grandmother to Shannon and a great-grandmother to Austin and Morgan (Matt). In addition, Kathleen would have been a great-great-grandma to the newest member of our family due this June, a boy from Morgan (Matt). Katie was also blessed to have had an extended caring family, also including a few friends who spent what extra time they could with her, and for that we extend our thanks. Also we remember Dr. D. Johnson and numerous other doctors who were there all those years keeping her well. Thank you just doesn't seem like enough. Finally, to the staff from the 4th floor at the Holy Family Nursing Home where Katie's last years were spent, this part is for you . . . our mom-grandma was hesitant to make the huge transition to your facility for the final chapter of her life. In fact, she protested this move at first. After a short time in her new found atmosphere she was then able to accept and look forward to the Bingos, the painting sessions, the ho down dances and many concerts. You "all" made her final years that much more special, and it showed in her personality. Thank you! The night before she passed, she managed to get in one last BINGO game (you rock Granny). Mom, Granny, you were one of a kind indeed, you knew what love was and how to share it with each of us in your own way. We will miss you in our lives so very much. Thank you for all the memories. Goodbye Mom, Granny Green. Grandpa has you now.

I will always remember my Aunty Kaye with love. I remember her generosity to me and everyone she knew. I will miss her wonderful smile and the great visits that we had. Aunty Kaye, you will be missed, but not forgotten. - Posted by: Carol Riebeek () on: Feb 25, 2015
