I AM SO SORRY TO HEAR OF CARL'S PASSING. HE WAS ONE OF MY BEST FRIENDS. WE TRUCKED TOGETHER FOR MANY YEARS. HE TAUGHT ME MORE ABOUT TRUCKING THAN ANYBODY COULD IMAGINE. HE WAS ALSO A DEAR FRIEND TO MY FAMILY, HE USED TO BABYSIT MY KIDS SO MY LATE WIFE AND I COULD GO OUT FOR AN EVENING. THE KIDS COULDN'T PRONOUNCE CARL SO THEY CALLED HIM UNCLE CARMEL AND THEY LOVED HIM DEARLY. HE WAS SO KIND AND GENEROUS TO A FAULT TO THEM. HE WAS ONE OF THE HARDEST WORKING PEOPLE I HAVE EVER MET IN MY LIFE AND NOW MAY HE HAVE THE REST HE SO WELL DESERVED. WHEN YOU GET TO THE PEARLY GATES PLEASE GIVE CHERYLE A HUG FOR ME. YOU MAY BE GONE BUT WON'T BE FORGOTTEN MY FRIEND. KEN GRZEBENIAK AKA BLANKET. - Posted by: KEN GRZEBENIAK (FRIEND) on: Feb 26, 2015

Carl loved life, loved to drive and life drove him to be Carl. When I starting working at the Landfill with Carl on Sundays I wasn't to sure how he was going to be able to keep up, seeing how he was quite a bit older, but age to him was only a number not a value of competency. He enjoyed working and did a good job of it, it kept him active he would say, and if there was ever a time to go to work early he was right there driving to Heffley Creek for 7:00 a.m. to Merritt for 8:00 a.m he was there, a job in Clear Water for 8:30 a.m. Carl was there to do the drive. When I was needing a ride to Kamloops Airport for 4:00 a.m. Carl would be there to do the drive, he loved to drive his life as a truck driver was his passion he would tell me trucking stories from across Canada and in to the States Carl was there to do the drive,. Now he has left us, but will be there to do the drive. May you rest in peace my friend. Carl gave of himself in many social organizations along his and enjoyed it , thank you , Carl.
