RAYMOND ROBERT PASESHNIK August 3, 1939 - February 22, 2015 It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Ray Paseshnik on Sunday, February 22, 2015 at the age of 75 years. Left with wonderful memories, are his children Deb Scott, Bob Paseshnik and Reena Young (Monty); grandchildren Steven and Rianna; sisters Bernice Molinski, Patricia Murphy of Ottawa, ON, Nadia Paseshnik of Edmonton, AB and his brother Kenny (Janet) of Brokenhead, MB; along with his wife Monica, and many nieces and nephews. Ray was predeceased by his father Steve in 1981, and his mother Rose in 1997. Ray worked for C.N.R. for four years, and 44 years at Pauwels (Federal Pioneer) where he made lifelong friends; he retired in 2008. He was an avid gardener, spent many hours in his gardens and he was always proud to share his produce. Ray was a lifelong blood donor and was always generous to charities. He loved all cats and spending his time doing crossword puzzles, golfing, visiting family and friends, listening to polka music, watching sprint car races, the Jets, Bombers and Judge Judy. Ray loved to laugh, enjoyed listening to and telling jokes, and was famous for his one-liners. Ray was very interested in his family genealogy and Ukrainian culture. Back in 2004, Ray and his daughters travelled to Ukraine and visited the town his family emigrated from. He was very interested in pioneer living and machinery, and spent hours visiting museums. A special thanks to Ray's good friend George Mogatas (affectionately known as Crazy George) for his friendship and support. As per Ray's wishes, Ray will be cremated with no formal funeral service.
