Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMADELEINE EVA RODZINSKI (nee SEDOR) Peacefully and with family by her side, Madeleine passed away at Concordia Hospital on February 23, 2015. Madeleine was born in Meodowlands, Manitoba, on August 21, 1931. Her mother, Madeleine Sedor (Solomom), passed away when she was six weeks old. Madeleine grew up on the farm and at the age of 17 she ventured out on her own and moved to Snow Lake, Manitoba and later to Flin Flon. In the early 1950's Madeleine moved to Winnipeg where she met and married Walter J. Rodzinski in 1956. They resided in Transcona and together they raised five children; Marianne, Paul (Cheryl), Patrick, Margaret (Bill) and Teresa. She has three grandchildren, Philip, Nadia and Kyle. Madeleine was predeceased by her parents Madeleine and Paul, her husband Walter and by her brother Adam. She is survived by her sisters Eva and Phyllis and by her brothers John, Willy, Pete and Donnie. Madeleine worked at Walmart (Woolco) for over 20 years. Summertime was spent gardening, planting flowers and in her kitchen preparing her preserves. She was a devoted member of St. Michael's Ukrainian Catholic Church and a long time active member of the UCWL. Her strong faith and sense of tradition guided how she lived her life, raised her children and her grandchildren. Madeleine will always be remembered as a special lady. Mom and Baba, you will be greatly missed. A special thanks is extended to Dr. April Boyd and nurse Sandra. Prayers will be held on Monday, March 9, 2015, at 7:00 p.m. followed by funeral on Tuesday, March 10, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Michaels Ukrainian Catholic Church, 400 Day St. with Father Djura George Maljik officiating.

Madeleine was very much loved by all her Ontario cousins. She was very, very special to Eva, my Baba, and her visits were treasured memories. We spoke often of her, and still do, and will remember always her infectious laughter and the kindness she always spread to all those around her. - Posted by: JoAnne (Cousin) on: Nov 17, 2020

Marianne, Paul, Patrick, Margaret, Teresa: Your mother, Aunt Madeleine, will always be lovingly remembered. I loved talking with her about family, growing up near Winnipegosis, things she and my mom did as kids, church activities and her visits with Babka Sedor-Shewchuk. We know my mom is going to really miss her sister. Please know my family and I are thinking about all of you and are keeping you in our prayers, with love and sympathy. - Posted by: Lillian Procyshyn (Cousin) on: Mar 02, 2015

Marianne, I was so terribly saddened to hear of your Mom's passing! I never had the opportunity to meet her, but know that I would have enjoyed her company, as I always enjoy yours when we meet! My family condolences and love go out to you and yours. May God bless you, especially at this time of need. Take care. - Posted by: Heather Reimer Matthes (friend) on: Feb 28, 2015
