CARLA MARIA CONRAD January 1, 1976 - March 2, 2015 Peacefully, Carla passed away with her family nearby at the Victoria General Hospital at the age of 39. She is survived by her parents Paul and Rosa Conrad, brothers and sister, Timothy (Ronda), Fernie (Angie), Alison (Cameron), Jason (Christa) and Darryl as well as nieces and nephews Lindsay, Ashley, Morgan, Jesse, Darren, Emma, Hannah, Rylan, Brennan, Adrianna and Romeo. She lived at her home on Avalon Road for twenty three years until her health needs became too great. Carla was then moved to St. Amant where she would live for the next 16 years. She was embraced as a daughter, a sister, a taunta, a teacher, a friend and inspiration. She was our reason for family. The family would like to extend its many thanks to St. Amant for its years of support. To the Victoria General Hospital for comfort provided to her in her last days. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to either St. Amant, - 3 West, 440 River Road, Winnipeg, MB R2M 3Z9 or the Children's Rehabilitation Foundation, 633 Wellington Crescent, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3M 0A8. Funeral mass will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 9 with eulogy beginning at 9:45 a.m. at the Christ the King Church, 847 St. Mary's Road. Interment to follow at the St. Vital Cemetery. We were privileged to spend time with Carla when attending family get togethers for shared grandchildren and other functions. Carla was always a warm & gracious soul who made others around her feel good. Her aura gave off love, kindness, forgiveness and I could go on, but this is about Carla and also about her family who must stay behind. We wish you comfort for your loss & we wish you joy in remembering Carla and the time you spent together. She will be always be with us in each and every one of you. Carla was a wonderful person to look after. She never conplained at all, she looked forward going out with her mom on Sundays or even sleep over. She would come back all happy and we would ask how everyone was. She had a smile on her face. She will be missed by many. Now you are an angel in God's kingdom.
