RAY JOHNSON March 29, 1966 - February 27, 2015 It is with very heavy hearts and much sadness that we announce the passing of Raymond Borden Johnson at the age of 48. Ray will be sadly missed by the love of his life Kathy; his mother Evelyn Johnson; his siblings Harold, Les (Eileen), Maureen (Craig), Sam (Karla) and Darlene (Curtis); his brother-in-law Greg Stevens; sister-in-law Norma Johnson; his mother-in-law Kathleen Achtemichuk; sisters-in-law Leigh (Doug) McLachlan, Joan (Jim) Kavanangh; and his brother-in-law Ivan Achetemichuk. Ray was a favourite uncle to many nieces and nephews, too numerous to mention. He also leaves behind his stepdaughters Samantha, Sarah (Luke); his very special grandson Chase; and stepson Tyler; and of course his buddy Theo. Ray was predeceased by his father Eigill; his daughter Charmaine; his sister Lillian; his brothers Cecil and Andy; his father-in-law Theodore Achtemichuk; his sister-in-law Karen; and his very special nephew Michael. Raymond was born in Winnipeg on March 29, 1966. He grew up in Gillam, Jenpeg, Sundance and moved to Arborg when he was 12. As a young boy, Ray made friends very quickly and we all learned his charismatic ways and humor would be his greatest attributes. Ray went to college and became a pipe fitter and plumber, which took him all over the country for employment. He picked up more lifelong friends on his journeys in Manitoba, Alberta and British Columbia. Ray met the love of his life Kathy and shared the happiest years of his life with her. He was so happy that he finally got to experience true love. Kathy was Rays biggest fan! He was a wonderful stepfather and shared a very special bond with Sarah, Samantha and Tyler, he was always so proud of them and loved them so much. When Ray had his guitar in his hand he would be lost in his music. He always loved to entertain. No matter what mood, music brought him to his own paradise. We were all so blessed to be able to sit down and listen to Ray. He was an inspiration to many. Ray lived his life to the fullest, loved to make you laugh. No matter where he went he left a trail of friends. He never failed to make sure that the people he cared about knew they were loved. Ray was not judgmental and believed there was good in everybody. Ray, we know that you are in heaven and are enjoying a few laughs, are singing with the angels and remembering the many special memories we will always hold so close. We miss you and love you so much! A celebration of Ray's life will be held at the Arborg Community Hall on Saturday, March 14 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers please send donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. • Ray would always crack me up, especially if everything got quiet at work. He taught me a lot and would do anything for the family. You were a good friend and brother. We will all miss you - Posted by: Ivan () on: Mar 21, 2015

  • My deepest condolences for Kathy and the entire family. Ray and I went to college in the late eighties for the piping trades. It was the time of our lives. Two country boys in the big city. We laughed every day for ten months straight. After college we went our separate ways. When I was in the hospital a nurse brought me a note that said "keep you're chins up". It was from Ray. Goodbye my friend. My heart aches for you all. Danny - Posted by: Danny (Friend) on: Mar 08, 2015
