Dear Bud and Family: Dale & I were just made aware of your loss, your lovely wife, Diane. We only met some 8 years ago and got together at the annual neighbourhood barbecques and a few other occasions. It was very evident that you and Diane were a loving couple that we felt honoured to meet and to get to know. We can't express our sadness and wish to extend to you and your children and their families, our deepest sympathy. Thinking of you at this time of loss and wishing you comfort and healing; for when someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure. - Posted by: Dale & Diane McGee (Neighbourhood Friends) on: Mar 28, 2015

Bud ,Beth, Kent and Pat. We were deeply saddened about Diane's passing. She was a wonderful person and handled her illness with character and dignity. We will all miss her. We have been friends with You, Diane and Pat for over 60 years and are pleased that over that time we never lost touch and kept our friendship alive sharing many good times together but at this time, we are sharing the pain of your loss. Dear Bud & Family: Many happy memories of adventures together. Friends for 50 plus years; built our first houses on the same street in Charleswood with the same builder; children who have been close friends virtually from birth; ski holidays in Thunder Bay; cottage times on Lake of the Woods and even a shared floating dock that travelled miles between our cottages as they were being built; weddings & grandchildren; lunches at Rae & Jerry's; and a few precious days together in sunny Arizona last winter. We shall continue the tradition in memory of DIANE!! Love: Marilyn & Carl; Erik & Ann and Sig & Dave and families - Posted by: Carl & Marilyn Anderson (Friends) on: Mar 10, 2015

Bud, Carol and I are on our way home to Karachi from Nairobi and my mom just told us about Diane's passing. Please accept our sincere condolences. I will forever remember you and Diane as a truly loving couple. My memory is of the loving way you looked at each other, the way you kidded each other, and the way you absolutely "glowed" in each other's presence. For me, you and Diane were truly an inspiration. I know that you and your family will miss Diane. So will Carol and I. Lou Ariano - Posted by: Lou and Carol Ariano (Friend) on: Mar 08, 2015

A time that stands out in my memory regarding Dianne, says a bit about the kind of person I think she was. My sister and I had returned from the hospital where our Mom had had surgery to remove a tumor; a surgery that did not go well. It was a long and difficult day and when we got back to my sisters we were exhausted. There was a knock at the door. It was Dianne. She had arrived with the best chilli I have ever tasted. She quietly set it down, gave us a hug and left. I doubt she realized just how much that was needed and appreciated and I will always be grateful for her compassion in that moment. I am so sorry for your loss and I wish I was there to bring you chilli. Lots of love being sent your way. - Posted by: Cindy Hogle (Sister of daughter in law) on: Mar 07, 2015
