EDWARD THOMAS MURRAY DIPLOCK July 4, 1924 - March 28, 2005 Edward Thomas Murray Diplock, also known at Pa, Gigi and Big Ted, was born in West Kildonan on July 4, 1924. Ted grew up in West Kildonan and lived there most of his life. Ted attended Centennial School and West Kildonan Collegiate. He was also a navy cadet in his youth. As a young man, he wanted to join the armed forces, but could not due to his rheumatic heart condition. Ted spent 31 years working in the purchasing department at Manitoba Hydro. He retired in 1988. Ted loved drawing, music, singing, dancing, swimming, weight lifting, billiards and socializing. Ted also loved his family and was proud that they always got on. Ted is dearly missed. Ted was survived by his wife Anne of 49 years, daughter Joanne, two sons Dan (Mary), Tom (Michele) one grandson Steven, one sister Joan Patry and numerous relatives and friends. Ted was predeceased by his parents Arthur and Viola Diplock, one sister Betty Maske, his twin brother Art and wife Bonnie Diplock, nephew Ted Maske and brother-in-law Gaetan Patry. Cremation and interment took place in 2005.
