Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBENJAMIN FRATKIN Benjamin Fratkin, age 90, died peacefully on Saturday, March 7, 2015 at the Jewish Healthcare Center, Worcester, Massachusetts. He was predeceased by his wife of 40 years, Nancy (Gurr) Fratkin, in 1998. He is survived by two sons: William (Jill) and Daniel (Joan MacNeill); two daughters, Wendy Coutu (fiancé, David O'Malley) and Ellen Davis; a sister, Sheila Malkin of Winnipeg; nine grandchildren and one great-grandson. Ben was born on January 18, 1925, in Portage la Prairie, the son of Israel and Mary (Sucherov) Fratkin. He graduated from the University of Manitoba and was an electrical engineer serving as a communication specialist for many years. He served in the Canadian Air Force during the Second World War. Funeral Service was held on Monday, March 9 at Temple Emanuel Sinai in Worcester, Massachusetts. Burial at Green Mount Cemetery in Montpelier, Vermont.
